I have been doing CrossFit since Jan 2015. My wife Sandy and I started at Commando CrossFit, Hurlburt Field FL. We are now at CrossFit Epically Awesome in Fort Walton Beach, FL. I had a left hip replacement in 2004, so I scale as needed. I adapt. I retired from the USAF in 2007 and contract work in 2021. My whole family CrossFits – Sandy, Katherine, David, and Daniel.
I completed my L1 in Feb 2022. I find joy in watching CrossFit change lives – it certainly changed mine, especially being in my 60’s now. I coach the Legends & Learners class with Janet and some morning 0630 classes. 2023 was my fifth CrossFit Open. I am seeing steady improvements in my strength and conditioning.
